Accessibility
We aim to make this website accessible for every visitor, in accordance with the World Wide Consortium (W3C) standards for web accessibility (www.w3.org/WAI).
Our website has the following accessibility features to help visitors with disabilities:
- User-friendly text type and colour
- Adjustable text size
- Descriptive links and alternative text for images
- User-friendly navigation: HTML-based, tab and access key enabled
Skip to content link
A hidden skip to content link sits at the top of each web page. This is so visitors using screen readers can move easily to the main text on each page. Reading through all navigation on a web page is the visitor’s choice.
User-friendly text type and colour
We selected the Verdana font type and a strong contrast of text-to-background for easiest possible reading.
Adjustable text size
Visitors may adjust the text size on every web page. Use the A+ and A- buttons at the top right of the web page. Clicking ‘A’ takes you back to the default size.
Descriptive links and alternative text for images
All text links are descriptive so visitors using screen readers know if it is the right link to click and where they will land. We have also included alternative text for images so vision impaired visitors have a full understanding of the website’s content.
User-friendly navigation: HTML-based, tab and access key enabled
Our navigation system works independent of JavaScript. Visitors using screen readers can move easily and logically from page to page. This website is also mouse independent for visitors with motor impairments. It is tab and access key enabled.
